First
use
Remove
the old bedding and clean the box
thoroughly;
Clean concrete or paved floors with a
high-pressure machine;
Spread ThoroBed on the damp
floor. Spread the first bedding
abundantly in order to obtain a thick
bedding carpet.
A rule of thumb is :
- 5 bags for a box of 3 x 3 m.
- 7 bags for a box of 4 x 4 m.

|
 |
Daily
Remove
the droppings every day with a
fine-toothed dung fork;
Rake the top layer together in the
places where the horse scratched it
open or turned it over. |
|
|
 |
Weekly
If
the horse always urinates at the same
spot, remove the wet bedding.
Weekly add ˝ - 1 bag to keep the top
layer fresh.
Remove all the bedding every 10 to 12
weeks, clean the stable thoroughly and
add fresh bedding. |

Tip
When
switching over from traditional straw
to ThoroBed, it is advisable to
give your horses some hay or straw.
Indeed, roughage remains necessary and
a radical change from an 'edible' to
an 'inedible' bedding may lead to
boredom.
Most horses will have a good roll in
the ThoroBed bedding after they
will have entered their box, as an
expression of their satisfaction. |
